Battlefield is a relationship song! It’s a song about the struggles that we go through sometimes in a relationship, but also about how those struggles can turn into a very mean and facetious, battle or competition. It’s about putting aside differences and moving forward in a positive manner it’s about mending fences phrase “battlefield we’re love lies” is a play on words meaning Battlefield, where love lies meeting where it says somewhere on the ground anywhere and where love, lies, meaning lying, not being truthful to yourself, your partner, and one another. It’s a song about picking up the pieces moving forward in a positive manner, and realizing what two individuals have together is stronger than what they have apart.
